The Lough Key Classic has become one of the top sportives in the northwest. We aim to make the event as friendly as possible while taking in some of the fabulous landscapes in the area.

Sunday 12th May 2024

Building on the great feedback from the 2023 Classic we are pleased to offer the same two routes, 70km and 120km. Weather permitting the King of the Mountains option will be at the end of the second loop. (Please be aware there will be a time cut-off for KOTM, after which it will be unavailable)

Both the 70km and 120km will be a figure of eight loops with a tea stop at halfway for both. More of the same and a hot meal at the finish line.

Start & Finish at the Sports Complex in Boyle.

120km starts at 9am / 70km at 9.30am

70/120km - €30 for CI license holders (+€20 for one day license if not a CI member)

Over 18s event

The Lough Key Classic is organised by cyclists for cyclists and as such has been commented on as one of the best run sportives that was held in Ireland last year.

This year will be no different, in fact I think it will be even better. It is important to make the riders feel welcome here in Boyle and in this regard.... this is a great event for Boyle and one that is now established on the town’s calendar”
